"Trust Your Instincts"

Dear Wealth Creator,

In this scientific age we're taught to trust only that which is rational or proveable. We're encouraged to believe that anything unexplainable is somehow not to be trusted. We're beginning to lose confidence in the mysterious, the paranormal and the mystical.

Somewhere along the line the subconscious functions of our brains are being lumped in with things like psychic ability, and average people could be forgiven for wondering whether their mental instincts are unworthy of trust, even that belief in their power to guide our lives may be delusional.

Shame. I believe we have instincts for good reason.

The brain is an enormously complicated organism. At any one time it can process thousands of bits of information, facts, impressions, thoughts - everything we know, everything our eyes perceive, our ears hear, our lips taste - to monitoring all of our body functions - without ever letting us feel overwhelmed this is all happening simultaneously.

Clearly there's a lot to process - especially if you're stressed.

You know how it is. You can hunker down for hours - sometimes months - to think through a problem. Mulling it over, seeing it from every angle, making notes about it, trying to make sense of it. Most times this is futile. Sometimes we're never going to rationally know what the right decision or the right course of action should be.

This is where instinct comes into play.

Instead of having to process information rationally - which takes far too long and uses up far too much energy - the brain has developed a quicker - and some might say more reliable - way to do it. The subconscious works behind the scenes for you and presents its conclusions about any given issue in the form of an instinct. That feeling that something is either right or wrong, good or bad.

All you have to do as an individual to re-learn how to listen to your instinct and trust it - implicitly.

And you'll find that when you begin to trust your instincts your life will begin to change for the better - quickly, infinitely - because, unlike your or anyone else's rational mind, your instinct is always right - for you.
